Design by TK… “Hope Heels” this artwork is off the market but she deserves a little throwback attention . This piece is a work grounded in contradictions. This piece was It was created to serve as a classic addition to a timeless and beautiful room, but it is very much of this moment. At a point in history when the world feels so polarized, when society feels at odds with one another, I created it as a symbol of peace in the world. We are all different. We all have different beliefs. We all come in different shapes, colors, and sizes. There is room for all of us. This piece symbolizes these foundational concepts. I made room for a lot of different figures here. I tried to include different-looking people and show peace symbols throughout the art. And yet, even as the prospect of peace hovers throughout the picture, you’ll note that no one’s heels are anchored to the ground. No one is settled. When there is no peace, no acceptance, no room for difference – how can you settle? I call it: Hope Heels.

This piece comments on the world not only in the image it contains within the four walls of its frame, but by echoing a multitude of disparate shapes used throughout the room. The Zimmer and Rhode curtain fabric ties the room together through a whimsical play on shape. I then took the triangles and squares from the curtains and reinforced them on the curved sofa. To then tie in the custom-made and designed starburst rug, I used starburst patterned pillows I found and brought back from a trip in Paris. Using acrylic paint, I created this piece by layering different stamped letters and using three different metallic paints on top.
